More About Finding HomeTrue healing consists of connecting with our own energy, our own soul-nature, and having our own relationship with the Sacred, which includes the Earth. This field guide offers practical, easy to use tools that will help re-open your body and heart to the ecstatic raw power of the grounded spiritual energies of the earth. These exercises will help you to rediscover the mystical, magical aspects of your own life by increasing your sensory capacity. These proven techniques allow the powerful energies of Nature's Presence to enliven your senses and bring you into a direct and meaningful relationship with the earth. In this way you will learn how to more fully embody your own spirit’s beauty and wisdom. This field guide brings the mystical down to earth by using spiritual practices that are grounded. Spiritual principles are taken and expressed into everyday behaviors that can be applied to our everyday lives. These are not practices that are applied in a vacuum away from daily living. Once you develop a sense of these basic skills you can start to apply them to your daily life. With practice your world will expand, your nature self will reawaken and you will begin to discover for yourself that the earth is alive and conscious. You will regain your ability to understand and communicate with the natural world. Your world will become richer, deeper and more alive. You will become sensitive to how the spiritual presence of life is always communicating with us in the seemingly ordinary events of our daily lives. When you feel a sudden breeze caress your face on a still summers day, you will know with certainty that something vast and conscious is acknowledging you, in that moment when you were asking for help. Moments like these send us little shock waves of awe and excitement as we realize we are indeed not alone. We are given proof that we are held and supported by the web of life in which we find ourselves. When we reconnect with this intelligent and vast awareness, we will feel in our heart and spirit that we have found our true home. We will at last be living primarily as spiritual beings embodied in a physical form. The book is divided into
three sections with a ‘How’s Your
Relationship with Nature?’ quiz at the end of the book which
gives you an idea of how much you have tapped into nature’s healing powers.
Each chapter contains step-by-step exercises that allow you to try out the
concepts and experience them for yourself. Ø
The first section Fertilizing
the Ground of Our Being lays the foundation for enabling you to easily
and effortlessly experience the healing and energetic presence of nature. It
looks at practical and easy to use ways that will increase your personal power
in the world. Ø
Sowing the
Seeds of Connection provides the framework
and skills for opening your senses so you can perceive the deeper reality of
nature’s heart-expanding beauty and aliveness. Ø
The third section, Harvesting
the Fruits takes you into the world of Shamanism where your
increased receptivity allows you to become aware of the gifts that nature is
continually offering us to assist us in bringing our lives into harmony with
spirit and with our purpose here on earth. This section includes how to
communicate with the non-human world as well as going deeper into the very
essence of life itself, the Primordial Silence. The last chapter takes a look at
ways in which you can integrate what you have learnt into your daily life. About the AuthorChristine Lacedra has been involved in health and healing for 27 years. Her spiritual journey began at 13 when she began to attend the Yoga and Meditations classes that her mother taught in the UK. Her interest in nature grew when her father began taking her on weekend camping trips to the Yorkshire Dales. Since then she has studied many forms of spiritual and healing modalities and has lived a wide range of alternative lifestyles that have enabled her to develop a closer relationship with nature A Note from the AuthorMy desire to understand the workings of the world, as well as what I perceived as my own dysfunction in it, has lead me on a fascinating journey through alternative as well as conventional methods of study and healing. After I obtained my Bachelor degree in nursing, I worked for a year as a Neonatal nurse before setting out to the periphery of our western culture. I joined many dubious cults and ashrams and traveled to the far side of the world and lived amongst Guatemalan Indians on the shores of Lake Atitlan, a powerful place overshadowed by a volcano. It was there that the false sense of protection that my English background had given me was cracked wide open. Amongst incredible lightening storms, the earth trembling, seeing the subjugation of the Indians and having my life threatened because I was white, my defenses began to crumble. On two occasions I felt a living presence from the land move into me and was deeply affected by the earthy richness, aliveness and ecstatic energies that were part of nature. So began my love affair and a path of being taught by nature herself. She has taught, and is still teaching me how to connect with the living presence of nature without all the trauma and drama that went along with my first experiences of nature as a living, breathing presence. What I have begun to remember is that our time here on planet earth is not about transcending the physical and trying to get away from it but learning how to consciously embody our spirit in the physical and ‘Be’ here totally, in all our magnificence. Nature is a perfect living example of embodying spirit. She has mastered the balance between the physical and spiritual. The impetus for writing this book was two fold. My first reason was the desire to share this incredible healing power of nature with others and second to create the kind of practical field guide I would like to have available when I need inspiration. I wanted to distill everything that I have learned up to this point in my spiritual journey, something that would remind me how to get back to a place of connectedness when I become distracted and loose my way. Having one foot in the scientific world of medicine and the other in the mystical world of nature, I frequently feel the pull of these two very different worldviews. If we are to find wholeness and the healing of our society, we need to find a way to incorporate the sacred back into our western lives. This book was written in the hope that others can have their own personal experience of the power, healing, beauty and sacredness of what is all around us. My deepest wish and prayer is that those who read this book will share in the knowledge that we belong to an indescribable world of beauty that is infused with sacred aliveness. For further
